Avoid cropping of headlines with soft hyphens

Sometimes a combination of large headline font size and a small browser window will cause headlines to be cropped like "Flodhest" in this example:

You can avoid this by using soft hyphens, which are hyphens that only show when they are needed.

The soft hyphen is used by inserting this code in your text where a hyphenated break is allowed: ­

So instead of "Flodhest" you write "Flod­hest".

The result:

The soft hyphen will not be shown, if it is not needed:

shy3.jpg
